Local Travel
Travel around your town or city, or places nearby up to approximately 50 miles, is usually done with a local bus company. These are privately owned but run a scheduled service. Where we can, we will mention them on our destination and attraction pages, but you should also ask at your place of study as they may have discount cards available for you as students.
Travelling Around the UK
For coaches, the main national carrier is National Express. They offer a discount card as mentioned on our main travel page and a great “hub” for student travel advice and deals. For budget long distance travel by road there is also Megabus who connect with most main cities and towns.
